Group Coaching at the Open and Johnnie Walker Championship

Open Championship, St Andrews, 12th - 18th July 2010

clubgolf is pleased to announce a fantastic opportunity to invite school/club groups along to the R&A Swingzone at this year's Open Championship at St. Andrews.


Each group will have the opportunity to:
- participate in a 1 hour Tri-Golf session delivered by experienced Golf Foundation staff
- have a go at various chipping and putting challenges
- take part in a 'History of the Open Quiz' at the British Golf Museum
- watch the best golfers in action


Please note the following:
- the session is for children between the ages of 7 and 11
- the activity space can accommodate between 8-12 children at a time
- each group will be given 2 adult passes for group supervisors
- bus parking will be refunded on the day

There is also an opportunity for both adults and juniors to book individual golf lessons at the R&A Swingzone.  Please note that all lessons are delivered by PGA professionals and bookings can be made on location on the day.

Johnnie Walker Championship, Gleneagles, 26th - 29th August 2010

clubgolf is offering a fantastic opportunity for a number of school/club groups to come along to the Johnnie Walker Championships this August.

Children will get the opportunity to:

  • take part in a coaching session with a PGA professional
  • watch the championship and get up close to some world class golfers

Groups should consist of approximately 12 children between the ages of 9-14 plus 2 adults to supervise the children throughout the day.  A total of 6 groups can be accommodated each day.

Format of each day:

10.00am - Arrive at tented village and check-in at the clubgolf area

10.00am – 4.00pm - Each group will be allocated 1 hour for coaching and playing within the clubgolf activity area

4.00pm -clubgolf programme finished

Although the clubgolf programme is structured from 10.00am – 4.00pm all groups are welcome to arrive early and stay later.  Please also remember that tickets are OPEN and can be used on any individual day.

All groups are responsible for getting to and from the event and we advise that you bring a packed lunch with you, although there is the option to purchase food if required.

This is an extremely popular event, therefore please book early to avoid disappointment.  Please contact Lorna McClymont, clubgolf Administrator on 01334 466493 to book your preferred day and time for coaching.  Remaining booking slots are shown below under 'Available'. Prior to the event you will receive a confirmation letter containing more detailed information and tickets for entry into the Championships.
